Scarfs for everyone – How to tie a Scarf

I have already done a cast, and I need to know how to make the second row. If I know how to do that, I can do the rest. I can be stupid sometimes, so I need steps such as

1. Cast on. To do this……..
2. Make the second row. To do this……….

I really hope you can help me, because my book seems like knitting is impossible!! I can't understand how to do anything in it!

here's a tutorial on youtube. she goes really slow so you'll see how she does the knit stitch after casting on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzz5QR0HG0E
just remember you hold the needle with stitches in left hand and as you knit the stitches transfer to right. when the whole row is completed and you dont know where to go from there, you have to switch needles and do the same thing(knit) again, or purling the next row.
i'll recommend youtube tutorials or the listed website. because when you see it done its more help.
oh another thing once you know your casting on, knit and purls and bind off. you will be going for patterns and you'll ask what are all these abbreviations.
