You can find a lot of cute stuff there . The Dollar stores are great for keeping down the price and still getting cute fun stuff for people like little statues, candy in fun containers and shapes and a lot of Valentine related things as well as nice things for women. There are often great things at the drug stores too for under $2.00. Little Heart shaped boxes of Candy, candy in funny cartoon character containers like Sponge Bob Squarepants or Disney characters. There are chapsticks and lip gloss in yummy flavors like Cherry or Dr. Pepper or makeup in little cute sizes (usually where they are marketing the NEW stuff in make-up) and trial size stuff is good too. and of course, both stores have school supplies as the other member suggested. Erasers in funny shapes or pencils that have funny or cute toppers like feathers or bobbing things.
