im making a scarf for my nephew, im having two knit pockets on the end with totoro on it, but i wanted to make it faster with crochet, but does knit look better? should i use a bigger needle and use two strands of yarn and knit, that will take faster right??
You can knit or crochet the scarf, your choice. You certainly can run two strands of yarn together and use a larger needle. I do it all the time. If you do that, be careful that you always get both strands knit correctly into each stitch. Check yourself every row, so you can fix any that are not correct before it becomes difficult to get back to them.

It depends on a lot of things. At best, a hand made scarf, of your own design, from good quality yarn, with no mistakes and good finishing techniques, sold to the right person could bring as much as $45.
However, if you are using inexpensive synthetic yarns and selling to young people, you will be lucky to get between $5 and $10.
Since you will put several hours of work into the scarf, you need to determine how much you are willing to spend on materials, and how much you are willing to earn in an hour, and then adjust your designs and materials to reach the customer that will pay that amount.
