I have a shawl that says 100% Pashmina then in brackets says (100% Cashmere). I searched online and found out Pashmina is cashmere blended with silk. I was hoping to felt it to make it thicker and turn it into a diaper cover, but it hasn’t been working in my front loading washing machine with a hot wash and cold rinse.
So will Pashmina felt or full?
If so how do I do it?
If it’s 100% Pashmina, then it’s not blended with silk. Some pashmina Scarves do that commonly, but it doesn’t sound like yours has that blend.
To get it to felt, you might try adding some tennis balls to the wash to help "bang" up the fabric. Or add some other things to the wash, like jeans.
You could try the dryer on hot too.
You can also try putting it in some near boiling water on the stove and then stirring vigorously with a big spoon.
Sounds like a great diaper cover. Really cute!

I recently got the August edition of the Dolly magazine. I got the black&white checked scarf, but when I opened it, it was huge! I was expecting it to be the size of a normal scarf. I was wondering if any of you knew how to tie the scarf like they do on the cover of Dolly.
Hey, i bought it too….i know, it was huge!!!!!
Okay, so there are two ways
1 – from the front, wrap it around so that it faces the back (the two ends of the scarf), and then put them the other direction, so you have a loop around your neck, and the two ends of the scarf are hanging in front =)
2 – fold the scarf one time…put it around you neck, so that it faces forward in loops…then, get one end of it, and put it inside the other end (put it inside the circle of the other end), and the pull…=]
Hope I helped =)

I’m going camping, I have shortish hair in a bob which is quite high maintenance. I’m looking for hats or head Scarves that will look good and hide my unwashed hair. Any suggestions?
Pictures or links greatly appreciated.
Thanks
straw trilby hats look good and are also in fashion at the moment
