I want to tie my scarf like how they have it in this picture. If anyone could write a clear description or possibly have a video that would be great!

That scarf is just tied around the back of your neck, its the way the scarf is cut.

you can show modesty with out wearing a head scarf?
i kno muslim girls who have myspace that take pictures
in jeans and sports bras( but they still have their Head Scarf on)
is that modest?
muslims donot wear headscarfs ro be 'modest' they wear them because in their religion it is rude to expose ur head to GOD…
there's a post somewhere where a girl who went on a trip was asked to cover her head with a scarf before she entered a dargah and she got 'offended' because she thought it is 'opression of men' to ask her to wear a scarf.how is that 'opression',i donno?nobody's FORCING nybody now-a-days no matter what people say.i agree that the actual reason cited is that it is for modesty,but for every religious rule,there is a scientific reason too.by asking the women to cover up it helps them not getting unwanted male attention,nothing wrong in that.everybody while going out in the sun covers their head with a scarf,so why are only muslim women put under spotlight?
i agree that wearing jeans and sport bras,but still covering ur head is kinda…stupid…but hair is an integral part of a woman's body,only upon a time hair is the only part of the body that was exposed,thus leading men to get attracted to it,so muslim women were asked to cover it up.

im just starting to knit, and i want to knit a scarf.
With size 11 needles how many stitches would i need to make a nice scarf, when wearing it i want it to go to my waist. so it be nice to get answers, and different types of beginner scarf styles with the number of stitches. thnaks so much 
When I learned to knit the first thing I knit was a sweater that had color changes in the middle of the pattern. The reason I am mentioning this is that I found a pattern that is just beautiful and the only thing you will have to do is follow the instructions or e-mail me for help. The pattern can be made with any size needle as she mentioned and as far as the length is that would be up to you to stop when it is long enough for you. If you don't want to try this let me know and I will search more for you.
